VIETNAM CUSTOMS HOSTS WCO 2023 TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION

The Technology Conference and Exhibition is the largest annual international event of the World Customs Organization (WCO). In 2023, the event will be held in Vietnam from October 10–12 with the theme “Welcoming the Digital Era: Applying Technology, Promoting Innovation, and Nurturing the Next Generation of Professional Customs”. After 3 days from October 10 to 12, the conference was a great success, completing the program and setting goals.

The conference welcomed the participation of about 1,200 delegates, 95 customs agencies, organizations, businesses, and international delegations, with 93 speakers and guests participating in discussions and sharing at the sessions. At the exhibition, there were 48 booths introducing new technologies from businesses related to customs and trade.

On the sidelines of the event, delegates were also warmly welcomed with special gala dinner programs imbued with Vietnamese cultural imprints through traditional musical performances such as: quartet, ethnic band, Quan Ho singing, lotus dance, drum festival, lion and dragon dance…; spaces that recreate culture: making conical hats, writing grape letters, making lanterns, Dong Ho paintings… along with a city tour to visit the Temple of Literature, Quoc Tu Giam, experience watching meaningful water puppetry!
