Program to Response to the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons
On the evening of July 20, 2023, at the University of Labor and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs, in collaboration with the UK Embassy in Vietnam, organized a program to respond to the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons (July 30), with the theme: “Towards each victim of human trafficking, leaving no one behind.”
Attending the program were Dr. Nguyen Van Hoi, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Mr. Iain Frew – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Vietnam; Ms. Dam Thi Minh Thu, Director of the Department of Social Evils Prevention and Control; NGUYEN. Dr. Ha Xuan Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal of the University of Labor and Social Affairs; Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Niê, singer Phan Manh Quynh; representatives of ministries, branches, international organizations, units within the Ministry; and numerous officials, lecturers and students of the University of Labor and Social Affairs.
The highlight of this year’s World Day Against Trafficking in Persons Program is the presentation of a media video on human trafficking prevention and combat produced by the British Embassy in conjunction with Miss H’Hen Nie. Next, delegates and students of the University of Labor and Social Affairs interacted with Miss Universe Vietnam 2017, H’Hen Niê.
